Beautiful place to visit. I liked the tunnel where people walk and you can see all the fish, sharks, whales and other creatures swimming next to and above you, it’s amazing!!! But if you really want to enjoy the visit to this aquarium, you must buy tickets to see the different shows they offer. Without seeing the shows, the visit won’t be worthy. They always take a picture of you right before the entrance so be ready with a nice outfit so you will look good on the photo that will become one of your best memories!!! Highly recommended!!

It was very well worth the visit! Huge! Lots to see. If you like reading the information as you tour the area, it'll take some time. We spent 5 hours here and saw all the exhibits and shows that are included in the ticket price. We also had lunch in their cafeteria style dining area, Cafe Aquaria, and did some shopping in one of the gift stores. They have hand sanitizing stations, clean bathrooms, all accessible areas, plenty of photo opportunities, and extra activities you can experience for an additional fee. You will do a lot of walking and standing, so wear comfortable shoes! It's easy to purchase tickets online. June 2023

Excellent aquarium! We went on a Sunday afternoon in the summer so it was quite crowded, but manageable! We just took our time and were able to see all the exhibits! If you want to see the shows, you have to make a (free) reservation once you get there. We opted to skip the shows to give us more time at the exhibits. Each section is very well done and you get to see so many beautiful creatures up close! Favorites were the shark exhibit, the whale shark, manta rays, sea turtle, penguins, beluga whales, otters and dolphins! My kids absolutely loved it! Food is overpriced and nothing special but we went in between lunch and dinner so we could get by with just a few snacks. Also, there is a small nursing pod for breastfeeding up on the second floor by the food that was very convenient! As with many attractions like this, you exit through the gift shop so be prepared! Overall it was an expensive day (buy tickets in advance to save$5) but worth it for the experience for our family!

The Georgia Aquarium is a breathtaking aquatic wonderland that left me in awe during my recent visit. From the moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by the sheer diversity and beauty of marine life on display.The highlight of the aquarium has to be the massive Ocean Voyager exhibit, featuring the awe-inspiring whale sharks, manta rays, and a mesmerizing array of colorful fish. The enormous viewing window allows you to feel like you're underwater with these gentle giants, making it an unforgettable experience.Aside from the Ocean Voyager, there are numerous other exhibits showcasing a wide range of aquatic species, from playful sea otters to graceful beluga whales. The interactive touch pools were a hit with visitors of all ages, offering a hands-on learning experience.What impressed me most was the aquarium's commitment to conservation and education. They provide informative presentations and exhibits that highlight the importance of protecting our oceans and the creatures that inhabit them.The only downside I encountered was the crowds, especially during weekends and holidays, which can make it challenging to move around and fully appreciate the exhibits. I recommend visiting during off-peak hours if possible to have a more relaxed experience.

This aquarium is absolutely incredible! It is so well planned out & we didn’t feel overwhelmed once. I love that everything let back to the center of the aquarium so you never got lost. The food was expensive but surprisingly the best we’ve had in Atlanta so far. The dolphin show was a great length & had some really cool spins/jumps with the trainers. Gift shop had awesome but pretty expensive stuff. We love that they had a scuba mermaid, something for our daughter too. So many cool interactive things with the animals for our kids to enjoy. Highly recommend!!

It’s expensive!! From admission to food inside. Free on your birthday dasssit!! Overall it’s a great time. This was our second time going and we always have a great time. We love the dolphin shows the aquarium is huge, exciting and beautifully built. It was accessible for my physically disabled mother. They have wheelchairs for free just give them your license. I appreciate that accommodation. Although the food is expensive it is a full eatery with tasty options. We will definitely go back. I don’t know if we would buy a yearly family membership, we may not go that often for it to be worth it. I can see why others would if they would go more than two times in a year.

Great place to take the family and enjoy all the learning opportunities around the aquarium.has all the standard features, a big tank, dolphin´s show, different ecosystems, touching rays, all with what i consider a great layout managing crowds, everything is separated on wings, and all of them are a loop, so the flow of people is steady, as well as hidden from the main areas.there is some food available for purchase and has a good souvenir store.a must is the dolphin show, if nothing else for enjoying the theater, it holds nearly 2k people, it is interesting on its own, adding the dolphins it makes it better. Word of caution "splash zone" really means "we will do everything in our power to get you soaked"

Amazing aquarium. It feels different and exciting each time we visit. Love the large tanks and walkways. The river section feels unique and special to the region.Great for kids and adults. Recommend to go early. It was very crowded when we went at 930 on Saturday even. Get your tickets ahead as well so no waiting to buy tickets when you arrive.There is a max stroller size so check that before bringing.

Will be coming back! I'm so impressed with the size of this aquarium, it was very easy to walk through, all sections set up easy to navigate. The dolphin show was great. The whale sharks were so impressive. I saw some people doing the shark dive, it looked like so much fun. Plenty of seating in the different exhibits, we sat and watched the fish and the sharks for quite a while. The gift shop had a lot of items to pick from.

Such an amazing experience! I took my four year old and my eight year old and they had so much fun! It is educational and breathtaking! We saw the dolphin show as well as the sea lion show. I highly recommend going during the weekday if you can and definitely get there early. Very friendly staff and clean restrooms and private nursing areas for breastfeeding mothers.

The museum experience was great. It was crowded but the entering the aquarium didn’t take long. The place is large and divided in sections which you can visit based on your preference. Their dolphin show was great. If you want to sit in the splash section you need to plan ahead. You can easily spend half a day here. I would recommend this for families with kids who enjoy seeing sea life. The jelly fish were beautiful and the sharks were amazing.

I love the Aquarium! I have visited several times and enjoyed each time. It’s amazing and educational. It is great for kids or even a fun date. If visiting on a holiday be there early. The dolphin show is awesome but fills up quickly. Get your tickets as soon as you get in. The handicap chairs are first come first serve. It’s in a great area and there is tons of places to eat around the aquarium.

We had a great day at the aquarium. It was very clean, decorated for the holidays, and there was a lot to see. The dolphin show was amazing. The sea lion show could have been better. There is only a virtual map but it’s easy to flow from one location to another. Our stroller was a jogging stroller but it fit within their box so it was allowed inside. Check your stroller against their guidelines. You have to reserve a time for the shows, but I was able to sign up for a different time later in order to move our slot up. We got there before 9 and left around 11:30. Very clean tanks and lots of viewing areas. We went on a Saturday and it started to get very crowded as the day went on. Recommended to get there at open. The plaza outside had a nice holiday set up from the Coca-Cola brand.

Went over a holiday weekend and it was super crowded. I'd love to go again when there are less people. The Cafe was very good, we got the bowl and salad and fries. They were all delicious and even though there was a large crowd, our food came out quickly.

The best aquarium we have been to in the United States! Not your typical aquarium at all. Big fish and sharks and rays. Lots to see and shows that are included. Get there about 30 minutes early for shows to get a good seat. Dolphin show is better than the seal on for sure, but both are included, just make a reservation.

Definitely the best aquarium that I've ever experienced. You can easily spend a whole day in here and come back multiple times. The dolphin show was incredible. I love the beluga whales presentation. There's so many cool animals and things to see in here. The gift shop is really great. There are also multiple places to take pictures. The food and the food court was okay. I would recommend ordering ahead because the lines get crazy. Would definitely recommend and return here.

Very family place, come with the family. Do something different, I came here on Mother day weekend, it was packed but iT was very fun, we all had some good time. First time I ever see a Whale shark and a Beluga. That was amazing. Amazing Aquarium! Well designed, lots to see and do, large Sea World style shows. They make really good use of space and technology. Best aquarium we've ever experienced! Plan on spending at least 6 hours and enjoying every minute.Wheelchair Review:Overall, the aquarium is very accessible. They had designated viewing for wheelchair users and staff does a nice job with crowd control post shows.It did get crowded by midday and some of the ramps were a bit on the steep side. Please remove baby changing tables from ADA bathroom stalls.

Beautiful, MASSIVE aquarium! We were in town to visit some friends and decided to take all the kids to the aquarium. I had no prior knowledge of what to expect, and I was super impressed. This is easily the best aquarium I’ve ever been to - there are so many different things to see and do. We spent three hours there and barely scratched the surface.It was VERY crowded (we went on a Saturday in July 2023) so I was glad to have our stroller to keep my kids close (they were two years old when we went) but there were restrictions on how large your stroller can be so be aware of that!There’s a lobby in the middle and all the exhibits branch off from there. We kind of wandered aimlessly and just popped in to whatever looked interesting, but there are also timed shows and exhibits you can reserve spots in ahead of time.Trying to get food in their restaurant area was so chaotic, but there was plenty of seating and decent options.My kids loved the pool with stingrays and also the water show with dolphins. There really was nothing that we didn’t enjoy, other than the huge crowd but that’s to be expected.Hope to get to return one day!

We just returned home from our Trip to Georgia aquarium. My husband my children and I all left with smiling faces . Way to go for the dolphin show!!!! It was an absolute great experience and if we lived closer I’d be going as a regular! Prices for things in gift shop and cafe a little steep is my only big issue. Can’t control the the crowd which wasn’t a serious problem for us. But my shout out here is going to the ladies that seat ppl and then escort them out when the dolphin show is over….. you guys are what makes the world go round! You all did fantastic at enforcing the rules and protocols. You guys did amazing and I have much much respect! Great crew at Georgia aquarium! Great views and great learning tools! My kids had a blast! And so did my husband and I. Thank you so much

We had an absolutely amazing time when we visited last month, if this is on your itinerary at least budget 4 hours to fully enjoy all the exhibits, activities, and shows the aquarium has to offer. Definitely highly recommend coming as close as you can to opening so you can enjoy the mostly empty aquarium. The staff are all so informative and love to chat. When we come back we are looking forward to a behind the scenes tour.

It's a great aquarium but some exhibits were empty and I didn't get to experience the 'extras' 3D and dolphin shows specifically. They do have cool pop-in holes where you can take pictures and it looks like your in there with the animals. The location is great! It's across the street from Olympic Park and walking distance to several other must see attractions. There is food available inside and they take a pic of you entering and you can buy it if you'd like. Great for the kids and couples!!!

What an amazing experience. I came from Florida to go to this aquarium. They have beautiful exhibits and the animals who look happy and are swimming without a worry. I recommend eating before or bringing food because the food is very average especially for the $. The main attraction is the whale shark and I could sit and watch that exhibit for an hour. I highly recommend signing up for the shows they have going on (dolphin and sea lion). 100% worth it. We spent about 5-6 hours in the aquarium. They take a picture at the entrance which they put a backdrop on it and a live background. If you’re hesitant on going, there’s so much to see. I will definitely be back when I’m in Georgia.

First time visiting. Had a wonderful time. From the check-in to leaving the staff made, my family and I feel very welcomed. They were professional and helpful. I enjoyed learning more about fish. The only downfall was that I didn't see turtles, we couldn't take pictures behind the whale jaw, and the dolphin show was short. Great place for the entire family!

Enjoying going to the aquarium. It's nice and clean. The crowd was pretty intense. Please be patient and don't rush. I promise you will get into the show that you made reservations for. It felt as if I was going to be trampled going into the dolphin show. Other than that it was spectacular. The outside grounds were very clean as well. Just slow down and enjoy the Aquarium!!!!!

Superb experience, spent nearly 4hrs here, we thought we would go for maybe a couple of hours but time went so quick. Just fascinating to sees many different species through the many huge viewing tanks. Sealion and Dolphin show were great too. Didn't use the canteen but food was available here if you need a break and a sit down. Gift shop have good variety of gifts, difficult not to leave with at least one cuddly toy

Always wonderful! Worth every penny! Best aquarium I have ever seen in the US. Go and take the kids and plan to stay for 3-4 hours at least. Definitely buy tickets a day or two in advance or even several more if it’s a holiday weekend. It’s timed entry. Can be busy and hard to get in if you wait to last minute on a weekend.

This aquarium was a great experience. I came here on a Tuesday morning . It was not crowded at all . I do recommend buying tickets in advance . I got a discount through my job . If you are active or retired military personnel you are eligible for a discount as well. The aquarium is broken up into different sections . It took around 2-3 hours to cover the whole aquarium. They are shows as well other interaction things to do here .The staff were very knowledgeable which I loved and the facility is kept is great condition. I truly had a great time .

This is an experience you absolutely need to have! There is so much to see, you will spend hours here. Very organized and easy to navigate though the aquarium and the different types of sea life. Had the opportunity to watch a Sea Lion show and a Dolphin show all in one day! Concession was well organized and easy to navigate even in large crowds. Would highly suggest getting there early to experience great views of aqua life as the aquarium definitely picks up spectators as the day goes on.

My recent visit to the Georgia Aquarium left much to be desired, warranting a three-star rating. While the facility boasts an impressive array of marine life, including some rare species, the overall experience was dampened by several factors.First and foremost, the check-in process was marred by the rude and unwelcoming behavior of the staff. Instead of offering a warm greeting, some check-in personnel were observed screaming at guests, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere right from the start. Such behavior is entirely unacceptable and detracts significantly from the overall visitor experience.Furthermore, despite the aquarium's reputation, the actual exhibits felt rather average. While there were certainly some highlights, including a variety of marine life and educational displays, there simply weren't enough fish to captivate visitors for an extended period. This lack of diversity and quantity in the exhibits left something to be desired, especially considering the high expectations associated with a renowned aquarium like Georgia's.However, the one shining aspect of my visit was the dolphin show. The spectacular performance by these intelligent creatures managed to salvage an otherwise lackluster experience. This was our first time visiting and I am so glad we made the trip. This aquarium has the best layout. We visited on Easter Sunday and it was very busy, but there is so much to see and several viewing areas for the same exhibit. I wish we would've had more time to spend there, but I guess that means I'll have to go back. I highly recommend the dolphin show.

Very nice place to visit. Plenty of sea life to see. There's a food court. Food was okay, nothing crazy. Location is great since you have the World of Coke next door and the Olympics Park across the street. Definitely great for families or even going alone. I order tickets online so I do not know how the line is for getting tickets at the aquarium.

This place is probably the best place to visit in all of Atlanta! They are a non-profit organization, so your ticket purchase will support their ecology efforts, and community efforts. They have STEM programs for kids including robotics. The crowds can get to be a bit much, but everyone is super friendly. Customer support is very helpful and also friendly. They will not check your bags for food or drinks, but it is probably a good idea to buy from their store as it is actually pretty good! Such a beautiful place! All the animals are presented in a professional way as if it is their natural habitat! The dolphin and sea lion shows are really worth signing up for, and they are free once you get inside. Just make sure you reserve your spot with a QR code.

It’s a great experience. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I was able to see all of attractions in about an hour and a half.The Dolphin show was spectacular. Nobody got splashed this time though.It’s a great place to take the kids though. They would definitely have fun!

Great experiences! Sign up for shows at arrival. We started first thing and that was too busy with all the field trips. Ended up coming back later in the afternoon, which was much better. The shows were informative and fun. We could have watched the tanks all the day. We bought the tickets in advance as part of the city pass.

This was by far the best aquarium I’ve ever been to! We had a blast. Well worth the price!We spent 5 hours completing the Aquarium and watching the shows that were included.The theater is actually the animals preforming not a tv screen. Highly recommend especially if you have kids! They will be busy for hours.

Had an enjoyable experience here at the aquarium.Quite a bit to see and do in an entertaining atmosphere.We went early on Sunday morning, and it was already fairly crowded, but we were able to navigate through everything fairly easily.The dolphin encounter was pretty disappointing, As there was only one small viewing window to see the dolphins.The beluga whales what by far the most entertaining and enjoyable experience.

What a cool place to visit! The aquarium is massive and has so much to do! They’ve got plenty of parking in a multiple level parking garage, then you go in and they have different themed rooms, they also have a dolphin show, a sea lion show and others. Everything is very well kept and clean. They decently take care of this aquarium. There is a cafeteria if you’re hungry and they have a big gift shop. The animals look very well take care of. We all had fun visiting and will be visiting again. I highly recommend it for the whole family. You’ll also have to check out the shale sharks in the massive aquarium, it’s one of the best parts.

I have been to this aquarium a few times and every single time it’s AMAZING. I have to give a special shout out to our behind the scenes tour guide, Joseph. He was so kind, helpful, and genuinely enthusiastic and passionate about the aquarium and the animals. He made the tour really fun and engaging. It was pretty crowded while we were there but he said hi to me when he saw me later. It really made me feel seen and boosted my excitement. Every exhibit is so cool and I think I could spend forever at this aquarium.

Wow! This aquarium is very well done! The animals look very happy and you can take your time exploring the displays. The shark tank was so cool with sharks that were just as interested in people as we were with them! The display with the whale shark was so memorable. We went in the evening because they had a $25pp promotion. The kids in there really loved it. The gift shops had some cool toys and trinkets.

This place is absolutely freaking 👏 amazing! It's 1000% worth the visit...here's my advise.. If you can avoid the weekends do so it's insanely busy and harder to enjoy everything and take it all in...another thing I wished would have been better communicated is that in their parking garage they give you a ticket but they don't tell you nor is there any signage or any indicators that you must PREPAY parking ...again would have been helpful! Would like to have more time next time so we could have taken in some of the extras they offer!

This aquarium has massive exhibits. Tanks that really looks like movie theater screens. The beluga whales, dolphins, sea lions and whale sharks are so impressive to watch. Would recommend a week day as the lines on the weekend were very long outside waiting to get in. Make sure to book your show times for the dolphin and sea lions to secure your spot. Make sure to get to the sea lions show a little early because some of the seats have blocked viewing due to the pillars.

It has taken me years to go and visit the Georgia Aquarium and I am glad we finally did. We were in the area for a week so we spent a day over at the aquarium seeing everything it had to offer. Initially entering the aquarium can be a bit confusing but once you get your bearings and realize how everything is laid out, it is easy. We visited during a weekday and the place was filled with field trips so there was a lot of people and kids all over the place. The different exhibit areas of the the aquarium are all very interesting and very well laid out. Plenty of room for the large crowds to navigate through and the main tank has plenty of places for you to sit and enjoy the whale sharks and manta's as they glide through the aquarium. While we were here we did the Behind The Seas tour and found it to be very interesting. We visited 3 different areas of the aquarium and got to see how they fed the animals as well as their research for coral conservation. Overall we had a blast at the Georgia Aquarium and are looking forward to our next visit.

Best dolphin show! Warning, they really do soak the splash zone in the dolphin show. The performance was great and the lighting/effects were very well done.The sea lions show was fun and the animals did a great job. If you are certified to dive you can pay for an experience to dive in the big tank with the whale shark and HUGE rays! We saw a large group of divers and that looked amazing.

Celebrated our granddaughter's birthday at the Aquarium. Cost a small fortune. The longer you wait to buy your tickets on a day trip, the more you pay. Food costs were more than Disney's prices which is saying a lot. However, the Aquarium is very clean, organized and we saw a lot of really cool things. I do wish there were more interactive things to do with children. All and all...we had a great time and spent 4hrs and we were able to see pretty much everything and have lunch.

This is one of the best aquariums in the world. The exhibits are exceptional and you can tell the animals are well cared for. Parking is usually pretty easy, unless it's a really busy day (or time of year). I personally would try to go earlier in the week during work hours to limit the number of people there. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about each of the exhibits. The whale sharks are impressive!

I had a wonderful experience at the Georgia aquarium! I met up with some friends and their children and it was so huge. We didn’t get to see everything. We thoroughly enjoyed the dolphin experience. Be prepared to get wet! The food is pretty pricey but very tasty. Be sure to bring your walking shoes! We got to see the alligators, the penguins, the dolphin show, the sharks, starfish and the jellyfish. Parking rates were pretty fair, but it’s probably better to park outside and walk up to the aquarium as leaving. The aquarium is a pain. We got some pretty great pictures towards the end of our experience. I think the price could be better, but overall, we had an amazing day, definitely will return. Highly recommend getting there early.

One of the best aquarium I have visited in the USA. Has great diversity of species in all categories they have. I loved how the sharks and the big whale are super open and we see them super easily.Look the seal and dolphins shows in advance so you get space and proper time to explore other things.

Unforgettable experience. We went on a Thursday afternoon and it wasn't as crowded as I've seen in videos online. Gigantic tanks that are very well kept up. Good floor layout to keep the people traffic flowing while getting stunning views of everything they have to offer. Every staff member was professional, knowledgeable and overall made the experience better.If you're wanting to view the dolphin and sea otter show, I would recommend viewing show times while purchasing tickets. Very crowded on a Friday afternoon. Make sure you book your show reservation the morning of your visit. (Purchase tickets in advance online. Even if your arrival time is later, the shows will be full if you don't.)The food in the cafe is not good. Almost inedible. My chicken sandwich had black/grey gelatinous gristle in it. The cheese pizza was burnt. Fries were soggy. On the plus side, there was a gal wiping tables and sweeping the floor-that was appreciated.Bathrooms were clean and not packed.The tanks seemed pretty small for whale sharks (two!) and upon further reading, they were not rescued. They were captured from the wild. 🥺🐬🚨 BEWARE: The splash zone (front 10 rows) of the dolphin show truly mean YOU WILL GET SOAKED. Not just splashed. It was hard to enjoy the rest of the show because we were so shocked.No security. I had a backpack and when I asked if they wanted to check it, they told me, "no, inside." When I went inside they scanned my ticket codes but no one checked my bag.Overall, it is a neat place. With a 4 & 8 year old I appreciated the brief informational blurbs at each exhibit-it felt doable without being overwhelming.Had we packed a lunch, dry clothes, and less of a crowd, it would have been a better experience. For the extreme cost, we would not likely visit again.

Awesome time. Great facilities, we got in quick because we were early. But it was also a Saturday and they were very busy. Some of the viewing areas don't seem large enough for Saturday traffic. But ultimately it was a good adventure.

It's not as exciting as everyone makes it seem. But it is a nice aquarium. I'm happy for the price we paid we were able to get a dolphin and lion show. Wish they still had visual maps for the visually impaired. They can make them and just laminate them. Everything doesn't need to be digital. And the food was quite pricey for the small amount you do receive.

Really cool place and something fun to do in the area. Got the “special discount” tickets for $25. Couldn’t get in until 6 (part of the discount deal) just to find out they closed at 7. So, we raced through. It was still very busy on a Monday evening. The place is clean, which I appreciate.

Our group of 10 recently visited the Georgia Aquarium, and it was an incredible experience for everyone. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the variety and scale of the exhibits. The aquarium is beautifully designed, and it’s clear that a lot of care has gone into creating a space where visitors can learn about marine life while having a lot of fun.One of the highlights for our group was the Ocean Voyager exhibit. Seeing the enormous whale sharks up close was awe-inspiring, and the underwater tunnel made us feel like we were truly submerged in their world. The Beluga whales were another favorite, gracefully gliding through the water and offering us a glimpse of their playful personalities.The wide viewing window and the dolphins show were my favorite. I sat for 15 min listening to music and watching the window. You can sit on the stairs facing the window and enjoy the view.The aquarium has a wide range of species on display, from tiny colorful fish to massive sea creatures. There’s something for everyone, whether you’re fascinated by sharks, dolphins, or even jellyfish. The interactive exhibits were a hit, especially for the kids in our group, who loved getting hands-on with the touch pools.What really stood out was how well-organized everything was, despite the large number of visitors. The staff were friendly and helpful, guiding us through the exhibits and ensuring we had a great experience.Overall, the Georgia Aquarium exceeded our expectations. It’s a must-visit for anyone in Atlanta, whether you’re with family, friends, or a large group like ours. We all left with lasting memories and a newfound appreciation for marine life.

It's been quite a while, but none the less it did not disappoint. We were able to tour all the exhibits, watch the dolphin and sea lion show in 2 hours. Of course you can take as much time as you like. There's also a restaurant for lunch.

We live in Colorado and my son had been asking to visit this aquarium for 2 years to see whale sharks. It did not disappoint at all! We stayed for 7.5 hrs and still didn’t see everything. Definitely reserve your tickets (free) for the Dolphin show the morning of your visit, and buying tickets to the behind the seas tour was amazing. We got to see them feeding the mantra ray and watch the feeding & enrichment time with the beluga whales. There’s no doubt we will come back to visit again.

How I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars! My boyfriend and I visited on Sunday 6-9 & we had a blast and toured the aquarium for 6+ Hours. There’s tons to do and look at, amazing food. The dolphin and Sea lion show was an amazing experience. We had more fun here than we did on our six flags trip the day before. Definitely worth the 2hr drive and worth the price. Hope to be back soon 🥰

I love this place! The sea lions are so awesome. I sat far up on the dolphins but you can see plenty. The kids sat 1st row where you can see down in the tank but they got soooo soaked. It was fun. It's serene even.
